Luang Pu Kambu
Luang Phor Kambu was the former abbot of Wat Gut Chompoo.
Luang Phor Kambu was born on 15th February BE 2465 in Gut Chompoo village, Ubon Ratchathai Province. At the age of 17, Luang Phor Kambu ordained as a novice at Wat Gut Chompoo, Ubon Ratchathai Province. After his ordination, Luang Phor Kambu went to study Dharma and Wicha from Luang Phor Rod Wat Thungsrimueang. Luang Phor Rod was known to be a well-known guru monk in the northeast part of Thailand. By BE 2486, at the age of 21 Luang Phor Kambu was ordained as a monk at Wat Gut Chompoo. Shortly after that, Luang Phor Kambu went to Tudong around Thailand and Laos to do deep-meditation in order to gain strong mindfulness. Many devotees and villagers love and respect Luang Phor Kambu as he is a good monk. His amulets are well sought after. As Luang Phor Kambu is one of the most well-known guru monks in Thailand in this era.
